Peach State Diamond Sports was born in 2003 as "Southwest Georgia Travel Baseball". This was originally conceived as an alternative to traveling north of Macon and to Florida for competitive baseball events. The "other" Georgia needed a place for its teams to play and we quickly became the home of travel baseball in South Georgia. In 2005 the Name Peach State Diamond Sports was born as we branched out East to the coast and north into middle Georgia.
Originally starting out as a USSSA organization, we made the switch to Grand Slam Sports tournaments in 2007 to better serve the needs of all teams. The switch to Grand Slam was a good one for us, giving us the flexibility to make the necessary changes in an ever growing and changing travel baseball world. June 2010 saw PSDS move away from our friends at Grand Slam to Independent status as we grew to have our own Championship events in the Summer and Fall. PSDS has grown to offer a fully functioning fall league, as well as Elite Summer College Showcase teams.
2011 saw a return to USSSA for most of the PSDS family, as Southwest Georgia and a few select dates in Coastal Georgia returned to sanctioned USSSA events. While still offering Non-Sanctioned events in Coastal Georgia as well as Sanctioned events we showed that listening to our teams and what they want is still our top priority.
New for 2013 we plan to add some select dates in Northern and Metro Atlanta as Peach State Diamond Sports continues to grow and evolve from its humble beginnings over a decade ago.
May God Bless you and your team as you travel with your family to play this great game, Tim Nichols
