   PSDS
Tournaments abides by "National Federation" (http://www.nfhs.org) rules with the following exceptions:
+ PITCHING RULES >>> 10-INNINGS TOTAL for 9-Under through 12-Under & 12-INNINGS TOTAL for 13-14-UNDER. THERE ARE NO LIMITATIONS as to the number of innings a pitcher can pitch in a day and still pitch the next day.
Peach State Diamond Sports Pitching exception
No Limitations for High School age 15-18u

+ BATTING ORDER >>> Continuous batting order with FREE Defensive Substitutions (Remember, if you bat ALL your players and one gets hurt or leaves, etc.., it is an AUTOMATIC OUT when that players turn comes up in your lineup) OR   Bat 9/Play 9 with DH OR Bat 10/Play 9 with EH (let umpire know and other team which one will be used) You must have NINE players at ALL times in order to play. IF you drop down to EIGHT for ANY reason, you can finish the game but an out must be taken in the injured players place in the lineup. If you start with 10 and you lose a player for whatever reason and have NO player to replace him with, you can still play with 9 but an automatic out will be taken.

+ COURTESEY RUNNERS:
For the Pitcher AND Catcher ONCE they FIRST reach base!  The courtesy runner MUST BE A SUB currently NOT IN THE GAME. IF you are batting your entire roster, the courtesy runner MUST BE THE LAST BATTED OUT!

+ MERCY RULE: 12 runs after 3 innings, 10 runs after 4 innings, 8 runs after 5 innings. Run Rule remains in effect in ALL Games, including CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!
+ FAKE BUNT/SWING RULE: PSDS Tournaments WILL NOT allow a Fake Bunt and then Swing in age divisions 9-U through 13-U!  Penalty for a fake bunt and then swing when putting the ball in play will result in an OUT!

+ HOME TEAM DETERMINATION: Home team is determined by flip of the coin at the home plate meeting. For Elimination games, the home team will be the HIGHEST SEEDED TEAM!   The home team will furnish the official scorekeeper and the visiting team will furnish the scoreboard operator. A FREE SCOREKEEPERS PASS is given to each TEAM!  NO game will start until there is an official book and scoreboard operator.

+ PROTESTS:
There will be a $300.00 fee payable in cash for any protest. You can ONLY Protest a RULE INTERPRETATION!

+ CONDUCT
: Team coaches & managers are responsible for the conduct of parents, players and other team spectators. Each dugout must be cleaned out after every game.  Use of profanity will not be tolerated. Managers & coaches are expected to conduct themselves with decorum. If any manager or head coach is thrown out of any game by the umpire, that manager WILL NOT be eligible to coach/manage in his/her team's next scheduled game. The Tournament Director can override this rule by letting the manager coach in his/her next game if he so chooses. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED.

+ GAME LENGTH:
8-U, 9-U, 10-U, 11-U, 12-U = 6 innings or 1:40; 13-U-18-U= 7 innings or 1:50; NO DROP DEAD TIME LIMIT!   No game will be played out after time limit or inning limit. In elimination play, games have to be played out until there is a winner! When time limit is up and home team is batting AND home team is ahead, the game is over regardless of score! We will NOT complete the inning. The Final score is the score at the end of the time limit! This is a time saving rule! Umpires will keep official time. NO Time Limit in Championship Games!

+ BASEBALLS: Each team must provide (2) baseballs per game (1 new/1 Good Used). Each team is responsible for shagging foul balls.

+ SEEDING:   Tiebreakers for determining seeding will be as follows >> 1. Head-to-Head (IF Applicable); 2. Least Runs Allowed; 3.Run Differential (7-Run MAX); 4. Most Runs Scored (10-Runs MAX); 5. Coin Toss! In the event of a 3 or more way tie, we will determine the Highest Seed using the aforementioned tiebreakers and after ONE team has been determined; we will revert back to the FIRST tiebreaker and go from there. This will allow us to use Head-to-Head as a tie-breaker once we get down to 2 or 3 teams.)
+ OFFICIAL GAME:  If a game is called because of rain or other acts of God and cannot be resumed; it is an official game if FOUR INNINGS have been completed in a 6-inning game OR if the HOME team is ahead in the bottom of the 4th inning.  It is an official game if FIVE INNINGS have been completed in a 7-inning game OR if the HOME team is ahead in the bottom of the 5th inning. If the game is called prior to this point, the score shall be the same as it was at the end of the last COMPLETED INNING.
+ Age Control date is APRIL 30th, 2011
+ Use of an illegal player or the use of an illegal pitcher in a game will result in immediate removal of that player and the ejection of the manager. NO FORFEITURE AS PER NFHS.
