Sorry for delay in getting this to you. Please accept this as written documentation of our discussion today where we discussed cancellation of the PSDS Event this Saturday August 17, 2013 …
County staff contacted the National Weather Service and we were notified there was going to be bad weather coming into our area beginning Friday evening/Friday night that could produce 3-5 inches of rain locally (Tift County). This pattern would continue most of the day Saturday and through Sunday Evening.
When we stated we had a baseball tournament coming to town they indicated that is probably not a good idea to hold with the amount of rainfall expected.
