For the 2012 Postseason, teams may play in the State Tournament location of their choice meaning teams have two (2) awesome weekends full of State Tournament action to qualify for the FREE Georgia USSSA Baseball Final Four Championship Series.
Comment: In the rare occurrence of a team winning a berth to the Final Four Championship Series both State Tournament weekends, the later berth will automatically pass down at the later State Tournament.
Your Host Sites will be one of many USSSA affiliate venues throughout the state of Georgia and it will be the goal of the Host, Tournament Director and Staff to create an experience the players, coaches and families will not soon forget.
NEW 2012 QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES: State Tournaments are not open events. To be eligible to participate, teams must play in either a Georgia USSSA Baseball Sanctioned League or a minimum of four (4) Georgia USSSA Baseball Sanctioned Tournaments (i.e.; Qualifier, Global Qualifier, NIT, Super NIT) between January 1st and June 5th of the 2012 season.
Comment: Any team unable to meet the above criteria may participate in the Open State Tournament. For complete Open State Tournament details, click here.
STATE TOURNAMENT FORMAT: Georgia USSSA Baseball will use a unique split bracket format.

Pools at each State Tournament will be seeded by USSSA Points at the time of seeding.

| 2. |
All teams will play two (2) pool games.
|
| 3. |
The top 50% of teams from pool play will advance to a double elimination championship bracket.
|
| 4. |
The remaining 50% of teams from pool play will advance to a single elimination bracket.
|
| 5. |
State Tournament brackets will be seeded pursuant to USSSA Rules.
|
| 6. |
The Champion from each State Tournament double elimination bracket will advance to play in the FREE Georgia USSSA Baseball Final Four Championship Series, June 23 - 24, 2012 in Henry County.

ENTRY PROCEDURES: Teams will enter the State Tournament(s) of their choice directly with the Tournament Director. Complete entries are due to the Tournament Director no later than the above listed Entry Deadline.
Comments: All State Tournament entries are pending prior sell out! Enter early to guarantee your team's participation! Late entries WILL NOT be accepted! If your team has qualified for USSSA World Series / Global World Series play, you MUST play in a State Tournament to validate your World Series berth...NO EXCEPTIONS! Teams may only enter State Tournaments in the division of play which they are classified as on USSSA.com (i.e.; Double-A teams in Double-A State Tournaments, Triple-A teams in Triple-A State Tournaments, etc.). Teams may not play up in classification.
